Welcome!
Jackson Tatge (He/Him/His), from Ridgefield, Connecticut, is a recent grad from Michigan State University’s Graphic Design BFA program. Jackson is currently working on contract in web design for the Affordable Housing Institute, and works as an SEO and Graphic Design specialist at Cleaver Magazine. In his free time, Jackson is working in motion, character, and UI/UX design for a mobile game application he is developing.
Cleaver Magazine
This collection contains an overview of the work completed during Jackson’s internship, as well as freelance work for Cleaver Magazine (Philadelphia’s International Literary Magazine). Jackson’s primary duties were/are as follows: Web design standardization via Wordpress, logo and icon design, typography, game design, video editing, and search engine optimization (SEO). Additionally, Cleaver Magazine was the focus of a full rebrand Jackson completed during Michigan State University’s Identity Design course. Currently, Jackson is in the process of redesigning the entirety of Cleaver Magazine’s website.
Financial Literacy Textbook
Jackson currently works as an QL Development Assistant for Michigan State University’s MTH102 course (Quantitative Literacy II). Duties for this position included creating simple textbook graphics, creating a textbook mascot, as well as animating explainer-style video lectures. This work was described as transformative for this course.
Graphic Design Fundamentals
This collection contains projects completed throughout a variety of courses at Michigan State University intended to teach the fundamentals of Graphic Design. Projects involve graphic form, typography, UI/UX design, and motion design.
Studio Art
This collection contains a variety of mixed-media. It includes work from personalized projects as well as work from a variety of Michigan State University’s studio art courses.
